神さまはいる！ただ一人の、本当の神さまが、キミのことをとってもとっても大事に思ってる！愛してるんだ！キミを形づくって、キミと暖かい関係でいたいと思ってる。でも一つだけ問題がある。ボクたちは神さまを知ろうとせずに、自分のためにだけ生きているってこと。そうやって生きてるうちに、神さまから遠く離れてしまって、自分の力では神さまのところへ戻れなくなってしまった。助けがないと、神さまの助けがないと戻れないんだ！
神さまの助けがないと、ボクたちは神さまのところへ戻る橋をかけることができない。どうがんばっても無理なんだ。でも、神さまにはそれができる。いや、もうやってくれたんだ！神さま自身が、人間になって地上に来てくれたんだ。その人の名前はイエス。イエスが来てくれた理由はいろいろある。たとえば･･･
- 神さまのことを分かるように教えるため
- 神さまを知らないボクたちがどんだけ迷ってしまってるか教えるため
- どうやったら神さまのところに戻れるか、教えるため
地上の生涯の終りに、イエスはボクたちの罪のためにいけにえになろうと思ってくれた。罪っていうのは、ボクたちが取る行動のなかで、自分を神さまから引き離し、神さまをとっても悲しませるもののこと。本当はボクたちが自分でその責任を取らなければいけないんだけど、その責任は大きすぎて、ボクたちがどんなにがんばっても追いきれないんだ。だから、イエスがその責任を取ってくれた。十字架で自分の命をささげて、ボクたちの罪の責任を取ってくれたんだ！
でも、イエスは神さまだから、死んで終りじゃなかった。3日後に復活して、今も生きてるんだ！今は天国にいて、キミをもっと知りたいと思ってる。キミとあったかい関係でいたいと思ってくれてる！そして、イエスがキミの罪の責任を取ってくれたことを、キミに知って欲しいと思ってるんだ。キミは信じるだけでいいんだ。キミが神さまのところに戻って、あったかい関係でいられるように、イエス自身が橋になってくれたことを！
ボクたちは、このことにどう答えたらいいんだろう？イエスはボクたちのためにこんなにすごいことをやってくれた。だから、ボクたちもイエスのために生きていこう！毎日毎日、イエスのために生きていこう。やることなすこと、全部イエスのためにやっていこう。イエスがやってくれたことに、心からのありがとうを込めて！
There is a God! One true God who loves you very very much! He loves you so much. He created you and He wants a relationship with you. There is just one problem... we have chosen not to know God but to live for ourselves. In living for ourselves we separated ourselves from God in a way that we can't get back to him without help. HIS help!
We needed his help because we can't build the bridge to get back to God, it's too big a job for us. But God can build that bridge and so He did! He came to earth as a man. That man's name is Jesus. Jesus came to live here for many reasons, a few of those are...
- to show us who God is.
- to show us how lost we are without God.
- to show us the way back to God.
At the end of His life on earth, Jesus wanted to become a sacrifice for our sins. Sins are those things we've done to disappoint God and separate ourselves from Him. We need to pay the price for those sins but we can't do enough to cover the cost. So Jesus did it for us. He paid for our sins with his own life on the cross!
But because Jesus is God, even death was not the end for him. 3 days later He came back to life again and He is still alive today. He is up in heaven and He wants to know YOU! He wants a relationship with you! He wants you to know that He paid for your sins, and all you have to do is believe! He wants to be the bridge so that you can have a relationship with God!
What should our response to this be?! Jesus did such an amazing thing for us, we can live for Him!!! Everyday we can live our lives, doing everything we do for Him, because we are so thankful for what He did!
